Nutrition Webinar for School Admin.

Dear School Nutrition Program Operators, Chief Business Officials, and Superintendents:

On May 25, 2021 at 2 p.m. the Nutrition Services Division (NSD) continues the discussion for operating School Nutrition Programs (SNP) as local educational agencies navigate multiple nationwide waivers during the 2020–21 school year, summer, and upcoming school year.

Join us for Tuesday @ 2 virtual town hall events on the fourth Tuesday of the month to provide an opportunity for schools to learn about program requirements for operating their programs.

The Tuesday, May 25, 2021 Nutrition Town Hall webinar will be devoted primarily to answering your frequently asked questions and clarifying recent policy guidance.

To ensure that your questions are properly addressed, NSD invites you to submit your questions by Wednesday, May 19, 2021 to NSDTownHalls@cde.ca.gov. Your advanced submission of questions helps to ensure we can spend adequate time on your most pressing issues.

The May 25th Town Hall will also feature guest speaker, Natalie Cole, Bureau Chief from the California State Library. Natalie will share how libraries connect children to summer meals and the impact this partnership has on families and their communities.

Target Audience

The target audience includes all state and local school nutrition professionals, superintendents, school business officials, and community partners involved in school meal service.
