Water Distribution Galveston – People Helping People – Part 1

Water Distribution Galveston - People Helping People - Part 1

What an outpouring of love and compassion for our Island and Texan Community as many wonderful volunteers helped to distribute over 20 pallets of bottled water to residents of Galveston Island and surrounding areas. Special thanks to GCCAC, The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, The City of Galveston, The Offices Of Rep. Mayes Middleton, and so many giving people who donated their time and energy to this coordinated effort and other events to come as we all recover form unprecedented winter weather.

As a participant, it was so awesome to see community members drop what they were doing right then and there to help for several hours including some that were pumping gas at nearby station, driving or walking by. Mayor Craig Brown was on site loading cars and leading the effort.

Stay tuned for the next update in this series with comments and news from Mayor Brown.
