Please use Slack to post information about identified needs, available resources, etc. related to the winter weather. There has been a LOT of information posted into Slack today about available resources! The web address to log in to Slack is https://fortbendrecovers.slack.com/
There were a lot of great resources discussed during today’s meeting. Below are a few updates – but otherwise, check Slack.
- Boil water notices are beginning to be lifted, but some may take as long as Monday before these are lifted. FBC HS&EM is working to keep track of these boil water notices on our website (www.fbcoem.org) and via this map: https://fbcoem.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/lookup/index.html?appid=ea75a2f1295849e8b0a279c3690a60b0
- We are asking residents to self-report their damage from the winter weather to us via the form at the link. Filling out this form is not a guarantee of assistance. It is to help us determine who is impacted, where, and what the damage is. The information will us make a case to FEMA for more federal assistance. It will also help you and donors know what the need is in the county to help provide assistance. https://fbcoem.org/report-your-damage-february-2021/
- There is only one warming center still open in Fort Bend County – the Missouri City Rec Center. This warming center is scheduled to close tomorrow (Saturday) at noon.
- Houston ToolBank will be open this weekend by appointment. Inventory list can be found online https://www.houstontoolbank.org/
