Get ready for spring cleaning! The City of Galveston will host our annual clean-up initiative with numerous recycling events April 10
– May 1.

On Saturdays from April 10 to May 1, the Galveston Recycling Center will host recycling days for different material types. The center, 702 61st Street across from Target, will be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Below is the schedule of events:

April 10, 2021: Aluminum and Tin Cans
Drop off your aluminum and tin cans at the recycling center.

April 17, 2021: Cardboard
All stockpiled cardboard from businesses and residents will be accepted.

April 24, 2021: Household appliance and e-waste
The recycling center will accept household appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, etc. We will also accept automotive batteries, cell phones, tablets, desktop computers, laptops, monitors, TVs, musical instruments, stereo equipment, computer parts and DVD/VCAR players.

: Paper Shredding
The commercial shredder will be available to shred any paper documents from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
